Sinema Congratulates and Thanks Service Academy Appointees for Commitment to U.S. Armed Forces

PHOENIX – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema congratulated and thanked Service Academy appointees for their commitment to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.
 
“Nominating talented Arizonans who are committed to keeping America safe is a privilege and honor. These dedicated Service Academy students are making Arizona proud,” said Sinema.
 
As Arizona’s senior Senator, Sinema is able to nominate talented Arizonans interested in attending U.S. Service Academies to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces after graduating. Their nominations are submitted to the academy of their choice, which include: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marines Academy. Upon graduation, service academy graduates are commissioned as officers in active or reserve units for a minimum of commitment of 5 years.
 
Sinema’s office is accepting U.S. Service Academy Applications for the Class of 2025, beginning May 1, 2020.  The deadline to submit applications is October 1, 2020.
