Sinema: Yavapai-Apache Nation Awarded $445,000 Transportation Grant

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the Yavapai-Apache Nation $445,000 to expand tribal transportation.
 
“Investing in Yavapai-Apache Nation’s transportation increases access to jobs, health care, and other essential services for members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation,” said Sinema.
 
The transportation grant expands transit service to increase access to jobs, health care, and essential services for members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation. These funds may be utilized for capital, operating, planning, and administrative expenses for public transit projects that meet the needs of rural tribal communities.
