MESA – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema spoke at Gulfstream Aerospace’s announcement of their $70 million investment in Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Sinema welcomed the construction of their Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) facility at the airport, which will create hundreds of new jobs.

“Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is the perfect home for Gulfstream’s expansion, which will boost economic opportunities and create hundreds of new, good-paying jobs. I’m proud to welcome Gulfstream to the Valley and celebrate this exciting new investment in Arizona,” said Sinema.

Gulfstream Aerospace recently reached a deal with Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to establish an MRO facility at the airport. With the new facility, Gulfstream will invest $70 million into the community and create over 200 jobs.

Gulfstream’s announcement follows Sinema’s work on her bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – legislation on its way to the President’s desk to be signed into law – that will invest more than $22 million over the next five years in Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to repair and upgrade terminals, runways, taxiways, and air traffic control towers.
