Others including Vice President Pence, Senate Majority Leader McConnell, and elected leaders in both parties received a first dose of coronavirus vaccine today
WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema today joined a growing group of leaders in both parties who have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and released the following statement:
“These vaccines are safe, effective, and will save lives and help Arizona’s economic recovery. As more doses become available, I encourage all Arizonans to join me, and a growing number of leaders in both parties, in getting vaccinated and protecting ourselves and our loved ones from this deadly virus that has caused so much damage to Arizona lives and livelihoods.”

Following the advice of medical experts, Sinema will continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and follow other CDC-recommended measures until after she is fully vaccinated.
Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, and members of Congress in both parties also received a first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine today.
