Sinema Holds Calls with Military Officials

Sinema spoke with the Undersecretary of the Army and the Commander of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma to discuss Arizona’s military priorities

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema spoke in separate calls with Undersecretary of the Army James McPherson and Commander of MCAS Yuma Colonel Charles Dudik to discuss Arizona’s military priorities and the importance of keeping Arizona safe and secure.

“Speaking directly with military leaders helps ensure Arizona’s servicemembers—who put their lives on the line to keep us safe and secure—receive the resources needed do their jobs and maintain Arizona’s leadership in America’s national security,” said Sinema.

In Sinema’s call with Undersecretary of the Army James McPherson, Sinema discussed Army priorities and the importance of supporting Arizona Army bases. Additionally, Sinema discussed the needs of MCAS Yuma with Colonel Dudik and pledged to continue supporting the base and its servicemembers.

Last week Sinema spoke with the Commander of Davis Monthan Air Force Base and plans to speak with the Commander of each major military installation in Arizona before the end of the year.
