Sinema met with the Arizona Small Business Development Center and Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation to discuss her focus on helping everyday Arizonans get ahead
WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema met with representatives from the Arizona Small Business Development Center and the Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation to reaffirm her commitment to Arizona’s small business community and her pledge to fuel a healthy economy across the state.
“Arizona’s small business community fuels a healthy economy across our state, which is why it’s so important to me that they have the resources needed to thrive. I appreciate hearing insights from the Arizonans who know best about the challenges and opportunities facing our local economy and workforce, and remain as committed as ever to helping everyday Arizonans get ahead,” said Sinema.
Over 99% of Arizona’s businesses are small businesses. Throughout her time in Congress, Sinema has retained a sharp focus on advancing pro-growth policies that promote economic competitiveness and ensure small and mid-sized businesses have the resources needed to thrive.
The Senator’s meetings with Arizona employers are the latest in a series of events with diverse economic partners from across Arizona to help cut red tape and lower costs for businesses. Last month, Sinema met with Latino business leaders to discuss growing opportunities for minority-owned businesses in Arizona.
As Arizona’s largest, most comprehensive statewide source of assistance for small businesses, the Arizona Small Business Development Center works to help launch, grow, and sustain small businesses in every stage of development.
The Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation was incorporated in 1985 with the mission of creating a thriving, sustainable economy. Since then, the organization has been responsible for the recruitment and retention of large companies, creating hundreds of jobs.
