Senator’s legislation ensures Arizona families can continue accessing family planning and health resources, including breast cancer screenings and basic infertility care

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema cosponsored legislation that bolsters funding for the Title X Family Planning Program to continue providing Arizonans with comprehensive family planning and related preventative health services.

“We’re strengthening Arizonans’ access to health and family planning programs, ensuring people can continue counting on and receiving the care and support they need for themselves and their families,” said Sinema.

Title X provides Arizonans with comprehensive family planning and related preventative health services, such as breast cancer screenings and basic infertility care. The additional funding supports the Arizona Family Health Partnership (AFHP), which provides essential care and allocates funds to clinics and community health centers across Arizona.

Sinema’s legislation strengthens support for these care providers, who help Arizonans receive information on family planning, pregnancy counseling (including prenatal care, delivery, and infant care), adoption, foster care, and other reproductive health needs.
