Sinema supported Director Young’s nomination and introduced Director Young at her nomination hearing for Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director

WASHINGTON – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema—Chair of the Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management—applauded Shalanda Young as she was officially sworn in as Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director.

“I had the honor of working alongside Shalanda Young as we negotiated and advanced our bipartisan infrastructure law, so I’ve seen first-hand her proven leadership, dedication to public service, and commitment to delivering results for the American people. I’m thrilled to celebrate her today as she’s officially sworn in as Office of Management and Budget Director,” said Sinema, Chair of the Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management.

In February, Sinema introduced Shalanda Young and highlighted her qualifications at Young’s nomination hearing for Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director. Sinema’s work with Young dates back to their time in the U.S. House of Representatives and the two worked closely together during negotiations shaping the Sinema-led bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs law. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the largest component of the Executive Office of the President (EOP). The office is responsible for implementation of Presidential priorities across the Executive Branch.
