Apr 20, 2020

PHOENIX – Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema today announced a loan guarantee of $552,761 helping Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community permanently finance an urgent care clinic. The loan guarantee stems from the bipartisan CARES Act which Sinema helped pass into law to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Securing these funds guarantees the construction of an urgent care clinic to provide critical care for the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community,” said Sinema.

This project, financed through an U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development loan, will save 14 jobs and create 5 new Arizona jobs, and almost 6,300 Arizonans will benefit from this project. The Sinema-shaped CARES Act bolstered the Rural Development program with $20.5 million.
