APPLY FOR AN INTERNSHIP

Our Washington, D.C. office offers internships in the fall, spring, and summer. Internship hours can be flexible to accommodate individual schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.

In Washington, intern responsibilities include answering phones, assisting with correspondence, running errands, researching legislation for the Senator and legislative staff, and attending hearings and briefings on various issues. Interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

We conduct one spring internship session from January 2020 – May 2020.

Please submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample of your choice to DCInternships@sinema.senate.gov by November 15, 2019 in order to be considered for a Spring 2020 Washington, D.C. internship with our office.

Our Phoenix office offers internships in the fall, spring, and summer. Internship hours can be flexible to accommodate individual schedules, but generally run 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

In Phoenix, intern responsibilities include day-to-day office work such as answering phones and greeting visitors, writing letters, and providing constituent services. In addition, interns may assist with constituent case work and other state-based projects.

We conduct one spring internship session from January 2020 – May 2020.
