Senator, along with Democratic and Republican colleagues, urged the President to implement a unified national strategy to counter antisemitism

WASHINGTON – Following the urging of Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema, the President created a federal task force to counter antisemitism and other related forms of bias and discrimination within the United States and globally.

“Antisemitism – and all forms of discrimination – have no place in our country. I’m proud the President heard our calls and created a federal task force to counter and raise understanding about antisemitism and its threat to the Jewish community and all Americans,” said Sinema.

In a letter, Sinema and a group of Democratic and Republican Members of Congress urged the President to ensure his Administration worked to execute a unified national strategy to counter antisemitism. Sinema and her colleagues underscored the rising threats and acts of violence fueled by antisemitism.

Following Sinema and her colleagues’ urging, the Administration announced a task force countering antisemitism that involves inter-agency collaboration tasked with developing a national strategy to counter world-wide antisemitism by raising understanding about antisemitism and the threat it poses to the Jewish community and all Americans.
